Meet Michael

they/them

I'm a multi-genre musician and teacher who sees music as an invitation to communicate and to connect more fully with one’s whole self. My teaching blends classical techniques, storytelling principles, and play-based instruction to help students from all pathways discover their inner voice and flourish.

Build your confidence in a joyful environment

Everything is connected.

My approach connects your voice to your body as a single instrument.

Healthy singing

You'll learn vocal technique that opens up your voice, reduces tension, and helps you sing sustainably in any style.

Music as communication

Singing is about expression. We'll work on how to bring meaning, storytelling, and intention into your music.

Practice as play

Curiosity and experimentation are at the center of every lesson. We try things, make weird noises, laugh, and discover what works for you.

Testimonials

"Michael is an amazing teacher who has helped me realize my goals in classical singing and develop technique which extends beyond into my music practice as a whole. As someone who has largely switched to singing as an adult, I cannot recommend Michael enough regardless of level and experience. I can't wait to continue to discover my voice under their guidance."
